Hold Back The Horses Of Export (1 of 2)

The G-8/G-20 summits came and went, the communiqués have been issued and the idea of unfettered free trade was lauded as if there were no rival ideas and no other options to consider. Also, before going to the summits Mr. Geithner who is the US Secretary of the Treasury and Mr. Summers who is the Director of the National Economic Council seemed to support the idea of limitless free trade in an article they published jointly under the title: “Our Agenda for the G-20” in the Wall Street Journal on June 23, 2010 without expressing a hint of critique for it. Well, free trade is a good thing to have but in the same way that too much of a good thing can be a bad thing if allowed to run amok and if we fail to curtail its excesses, so can unfettered free trade. Maybe this says the time has come to consider holding back, if only a little, the horses of export. I elaborate on this point in this article and I offer alternative ideas in the next article.

Mathematical formulas, otherwise known as equations, are a wonderful tool in the hands of those who engage in science and engineering because, no matter which field you dabble in, they express the exactness for which Newtonian physics is renowned if you are allowed to ignore the relativistic variances that intrude under some conditions. Equations can also be a wonderful tool in the hands of those who engage in the humanities where mathematics can play a role such as the pseudo-science of economics as it is sometimes called. The problem with the humanities, however, is that human beings are complex creatures and this makes them unpredictable. When you inject their behavior into a formula you automatically make assumptions that can vary in exactness from being totally correct to being completely false. In effect then, implicit in the equations that deal with the humanities is the reality that an element of probability exists in them even if no term to express it is inserted in the equation. As a result, the final answer may be absolutely exact or totally erroneous or something in-between which means that, in many instances, the answer will be of no use to anyone although no one will know it at the time.

Take for example the formula for the Gross Domestic Product of nations. It says that GDP is equal to Consumption plus Investment plus Government Expenditure plus Export minus Import. It is written in mathematical form as follows:

GDP = C + I + G + X - M

If you try to use this equation to make a prediction or an economic decision for a country, you need to be honest with yourself and keep in mind at all time that you will fall on the spectrum between being totally wrong and absolutely correct. In fact, being wrong is what happened to many poor countries when, in response to an apparent success by a few of them, the remainder rushed to try and duplicate the success. What gave impetus to the rush was the fact that there seemed to be a surefire mathematical indicator to guide the few that succeeded; the indicator being none other than the famous GDP equation. It all started when the economic Tigers of Asia in the decades of the Nineteen Seventies and Nineteen Eighties triggered a rush among the poor nations many of which rushed without giving the matter much thought. Some of these nations decided to do so on their own and some did it because they were encouraged by the World Bank, the IMF and the private lenders who came from the rich countries to lend money to the poor countries or to start a business in them. The tragedy was that in the end, the result proved to be disastrous in many of the cases. Indeed, we had since then the Latin American crisis, the Asian crisis, the Eastern European crisis and the Euro-Peripheral crisis.

What actually happened was that many poor countries were deceived by the success they saw in Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea and a couple of other places where the nations became industrialized and wealthy, and did so at the proverbial speed of light. That is, the GDP of those countries grew at an astonishing rate while the explanation bandied about was to the effect that export was fueling the growth. In fact, there seemed to be a competition among the writers of books and articles as to who will extol the virtues of export more than the other. It was dizzying trying to keep up with all these authors. The poorer countries heard the talk, they red the books and the articles, they looked at the formula for GDP and they saw that yes, the formula says GDP grows in relation to the growth in export. And they all went banana about the need to export. They set out to export their commodities which ranged from bananas to copper to all sorts of natural resources, and they began to manufacture the kind of goods that can be exported. By coincidence, these were the goods which were made inside the factories that the foreign investors brought to the country for the specific purpose of exporting their goods. And all these activities meant that the poor countries needed to borrow from abroad so as to upgrade their manufacturing facilities and shipping networks. And borrow they did like there was no tomorrow.

At first, it looked like the poor countries were getting rich the way that Taiwan, Hong Kong and South Korea did. But then several crises hit in sequence whereupon it became clear that the apparent growth in the poor countries was a phony one and that it did not resemble the growth enjoyed by the Asian Tigers. How did this happen? Well, two things happened. First, while the GDP equation is correct in the sense that you can use it at the end of the year to tell what has transpired throughout the year, it is incomplete therefore useless when it comes to making predictions because (a) it does not contain a term for the random effect caused by the human element and (b) it is not a one size fits all proposition. Second, the belief that export was a major factor in fueling the growth of the Tiger economies turned out to be a fallacy.

Let us look at the equation again:

GDP = C + I + G + X - M

As can be seen, there exist at the beginning of the equation the terms C and I (consumption and investment) that compete for the same pool of money which is the wealth created in a country during the year. How to apportion this money? Well, if the country is extremely poor to begin with and the people live at near starvation levels, they will at the start of their industrialization favor consumption over investment until such time they feel they are doing well enough to set aside some of their income for investment. But if the country is already advanced to some degree and getting wealthier, the likelihood is that the people will increase their investment at the same time as they increase their consumption. And because all of this will vary from culture to culture, no term can be added to the GDP equation to which a value can be assigned that will work for every country at every moment of its development and determine how the money will be apportioned. Still, predictions will be made by economists who will rely on their gut feeling to say that on the one hand this thing may or may not happen; on the other hand that thing may or may not happen. And they will more or less be correct some of the time but not all of the time. See how exact and how helpful this is!

Next, you have in the equation the term G which stands for government expenditure; the government being that massive institution which competes with the private sector for funds. In fact, the government takes in a share of the money that could be fueling consumption and investment. Depending on the political orientation of the government and what the public is clamoring for at any given time, the G may be large or it may be small, and this will dictate how much borrowing the government will do on the local market and abroad. But like everyone else, when the government borrows, it is obliged to pay back the principal and the interest. In the case of money borrowed on foreign markets, paying it back is considered an outflow of money having the same effect as the negative term (-M) in the equation which is the opposite of export. And this will add to the randomness of the equation's result. Moreover, the changing ratio between the inflow and the outflow of money will affect the exchange rate of the local currency thus render the result even more random. By now you will need an economist with four hands to explain it all to you.

Finally, if the aim is to increase export (the X in the equation) you may have to import raw materials, machinery and the services of experts from abroad to produce goods with a high enough quality that you can export them. This will increase the size of the negative (-M) in the equation and offset the value of the exports. Depending on how much you need to import, the danger will be that you could overwhelm the exports and thus frustrate your vision of growing the GDP by increasing the exports. And running out of foreign reserves due to an imbalance between the imports and the exports is one of the troubles that have plagued the countries of Latin America and Asia when they rushed to industrialize without doing enough planning. In short, to rely on export alone and treat it as a one size fits all method for success will not do the trick.

So then, how did Taiwan, Hong Kong and South Korea do it? The short answer is that politics did it for them. This is how the drama unfolded: The Cold War was raging between the Capitalists and the Communists in the decades before the fall of Communism, and by the luck of the draw the three Asian countries became the beneficiaries of that war. America poured its heart and soul into South Korea and Taiwan to show North Korea and Mainland China it had a better system than the Soviet Union. And Britain participated in the effort by doing the same thing in Hong Kong. To this end, America and Britain did more than encourage their business people to invest in the three would-be Tigers; they instructed them to invest without exploiting the locals there by too much. The two Western governments explained to their people that the aim was to prop up the Asian countries so as to make showcases of them, showcases that will look so attractive, they will help win the public relation campaign and defeat the communists by winning the hearts and minds of their people. And the incentive that the governments gave to their businesses was to explain to them that the plan will result in the opening of China, North Korea and the entire communist empire to Capitalism and to Western business people – the people who were listening to the talk.

The two governments themselves transferred large sums of money to the Asian countries under the guise of procuring military and civilian goods and services. They also had bases in those countries for which they paid rent; and they had troops stationed in them that transacted in hard currencies. In addition, the US and Britain played a role in the construction of the infrastructure upon which rose the magnificent skylines of the cities that were meant to impress the communist visitors and did so brilliantly. And there were government-to-government programs by which the Western institutions of higher learning educated and trained the Asian students both in their home countries and in the West.

It was this earnest effort to improve the lot of those countries and not the export activities per se that did it for them. It can be said that the Asian Tigers were treated as offshore provinces of the capitalist countries not economic colonies waiting to be exploited for their resources and their cheap labor. The building of the hard infrastructure in terms of physical plants, the building of the soft infrastructure in terms of the transfer of knowledge and the restructuring of the institutions were the moves that made the advancement of the Asian tigers an authentic one therefore a durable one. And thanks to these moves, even the exports were made to serve a useful purpose in that they contributed to the progress of the Tiger economies by bringing in the hard currencies. It happened because the benefits that normally accrue from export were made to flow to all of society and not allowed to be pocketed by the foreign investors or the few locals who were in charge. The end result was that without suffering a crisis that was serious enough to hold them back or disintegrate them, the Tigers were able to increase their GDP and become so wealthy as to catch up with the advanced nations and move alongside them at the leading edge of progress where they still shine.

And the question now is how to translate these ideas into a program that will help the current crop of developing nations follow in the footsteps of the Asian Tigers. This will be discussed in the upcoming article.

Joe Lieberman Moses Of America

There was a time not long ago when people used to say to a relative, a friend or a good neighbor: “Your wish is my command” to show how much they valued and appreciated them. There was a time even before that when benevolent kings and ruling tyrants ruled over fiefdoms where every whim they expressed was translated into a command to be obeyed by their subjects failing which someone was made to pay a high price. The good news is that this trend has disappeared from most of the cultures; the bad news is that it is making a comeback in some of the cultures. The trend is not coming back because it is generated by a natural process but because someone is growing it artificially. If you think there is someone out there deliberately reviving the culture of fiefdom you are correct but if you believe this is happening in a backward society you are mistaken.

Believe it or not the West in general is where the trend is being revived, and America in particular is where it has been revived to an advanced state already. America is where a wish that is made in the name of Israel takes on the force of law whether or not Israel needs any help to stay alive or to protect its security. And a whole culture has flourished around America's preoccupation with tending to Israel's needs, a reality that consistently leads to the bewilderment of those who try to understand America's behavior and make sense of her response to Israel's commands.

People ask: “How did America get to be like that?” and the answer is difficult to formulate. However, Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut did something this time which gives a glimpse as to how a trend such as that can grow roots and flourish even inside a superpower. On June 15, 2010 Lieberman published an article in the Wall Street Journal under the title: “Who's the Enemy in the War on Terror?” and the subtitle: “The U.S. is at war with violent Islamist extremism, and the Obama administration does moderate Muslims no favor by refusing to recognize this.” What does he say? Well, he begins the article like this: “In the … strategy released … last month, the … administration … reaffirms that America remains … at war [but] refuses to identify our enemy … as: violent Islamist extremism.” Like the Administration, I too have a problem with this definition, and it is the same problem I had with the resolution that was passed by the United Nations years ago equating Zionism with racism. I opposed the resolution then and I oppose Lieberman's argument now for substantially the same reasons though I see a few differences between the two situations.

What the two sayings have in common is that they are slogans worthy of being called bumper stickers and no more. Yet Lieberman and others like him want to give this sort of notions the force of law and the respect that goes with that. I opposed the saying “Zionism equals racism” because it does no justice to the reality of the situation. I look at the matter this way: The Nazis were racists in that they thought they were above the other races. They believed in this fantasy because they had a culture that was the most advanced at the time in terms of social organization, technical accomplishments, scientific achievements and so on. However, what these people failed to see was the reality that many races were more advanced than they at other times in history. Also the certainty was there that other races will again pull ahead of them because these things go in cycles. In fact, the future is here now and we see that a few races have pulled ahead of these people already. And the descendants of the Nazis are now realizing how wrong their forefathers have been. The essential point to take from this is that we can now close this file and put the matter behind us because a way existed at the beginning to prove or disprove the Nazi claims and ideas.

Not so with the Zionist claims and ideas. In fact, those who call themselves Zionists and who adhere to notions of their own are basing the premise of their superiority on the belief that God has said they were chosen to sit as a preferred race above all the other races. Thus, unlike the Nazis whose claims could be disproved by getting ahead of them, there is nothing that anyone can do to disprove the Jewish claims because you do not argue with God who never gets to reveal Himself anyway. Therefore, the notion of Jewish superiority is a definitive one in the minds of those who entertain it, and there is no way by which someone can appeal it or ask for the closure of the file that holds it. For these reasons, I believe that to say Zionism is a form of racism is to elevate Zionism to the level of Nazism when it is clear that the first is irredeemable and the second is redeemable and has, in fact, been redeemed. Thus, to equate the two is unfair to Nazism if not an insult to it because the Zionist movement is based on a principle of absolutism, a principle that makes of the movement the only absolute thing in the realm of the hideous and the horrible, a principle that sets it apart from everything else by its own definition of itself. Until God reveals Himself and admits He made a mistake in setting one race above the other races or that a misunderstanding has occurred, the Jews shall continue to suffer unless a miracle happens but the likelihood is that Hell will freeze over before such miracle has materialized.

And so, even though I knew that those who believe in Zionism embrace the notion that they are a superior race and that such belief can be traced to what they say is their Judaic religion, I did not ask that a law be passed or that a finding be made which would classify extreme Judaism as a dangerous phenomenon requiring humanity to fight it to the death. Instead, I left the door open for the debate to continue until such time the matter is settled by all of society. By contrast, Joe Lieberman wants to make a connection between Islam and violent extremism right now thus bypass the public debate even though he acknowledges that only a small minority of people has misused the Muslim religion to its own end.

What is at stake here is a hugely serious principle of governance however subtle it may be. What Joseph Lieberman, that US Senator, is trying to do is reverse the principles upon which the system of democracy is based and how it works. The worst part is that the Senator's effort is not an isolated case brought about by one individual based on his ideas alone. Rather, it is a part of a concerted effort belabored by the Jewish organizations that work together to turn the system of democracy on its head. And we can clearly see what the Senator is trying to do when we look at another trick that those same organizations have tried to pull years ago in a place called Canada, a place that has always served as the soft underbelly of America where ideas are tested before taking them south of the border.

We had a Minister of Justice in this country who was persuaded to try and use the executive tribunals to pass judgments favoring the Jewish litigants so as to establish precedents that will, in the future, compel the constitutional courts of law to follow the trend established by his artificial process. What the Minister was persuaded to do, in fact, was to turn the system of justice on its head. This would have been the result of his work because instead of judging every case on its merit then look to precedents to maintain continuity in the jurisprudence, future judges would have been compelled to break from centuries of established jurisprudence and replace the process with a trend that would serve the interest of Jewish litigants before anything else. Clearly then, the intent here was to establish the Jews, once and for all, as a favored master race and give this notion the force of law. In the eyes of many people, including some Jewish lawyers, the Minister's attempt could only be described as criminal insanity of the first order. And now, Joe Lieberman wants to do something similar in that he wants to turn on its head the system of public debate through which public policy is usually determined.

Why is that? Where do such notions originate? Well, when it comes to governance there are two ways to doing things. The first is to debate a situation, discover the relevant points, formulate the rules -- preferably by consensus -- and proclaim the rules in a public setting to make certain that everyone is made aware of them. The second way to doing things is to formulate commandments -- not necessarily on a mountain but in a secret ivory tower -- then promulgate such commandments among the masses who will not debate the merits thereof but seek instructions as to the best way to obey the commandments and to implement them in full. The first way is the way that most nations are governed from the most democratic among them to those that are slightly authoritarian. The second way is how the religious dogmas are formulated and taught to members of the flock. This is how the Talmud was written and taught nearly two thousand years ago, it is how it is written and taught today and this is how Joe Lieberman wants to govern America. The Talmud is both a book of religion and a book of law governing everyday Jewish life; Lieberman is both a religious person and a legislator; he is therefore the very personification of the Talmud. And if this man has it his way, every word of every official document will be written in secret by the Jewish lobby to then be debated by the masses not to test the legitimacy of the dogmas but to embrace them and seek ways to implement them in full without dissent. We see here that the difference between the two forms of governance is that you either debate the issues and make the law, or you turn this process on its head and make the law first then debate how best to obey it. Joe Lieberman wants to force the second form of governance on the American people.

Under him, this is how a typical situation may unfold. An expression declaring that America is at war with violent Islamist extremism is coined away from the eyes and the ears of the public by a body such as the National Security Council that would be dominated by the Jewish organizations. The expression is thrown at the politicos and the media types to use without question as if it encapsulated the distilled wisdom of the US government. Public debates follow not to question the appropriateness of the expression but to use it as a principle upon which to interpret all future events. For example, no matter which side starts a fight in the ongoing struggle between the Palestinians and the Israelis, the Palestinians will always be described as the aggressors and the Israelis as the victims. And this will happen because the notion that the Palestinians are born with bad intention written into their DNA would have been cemented into the American political and journalistic folklore. This being the case, Israel will be allowed to take any aggressive measure it wants, and America will be obliged, as if by divine command, to provide that country with the support it asks for and then some.

Thus, you can foresee moments when the whim of someone speaking on television in the name of the government of Israel will take on the force of command directed at America, and the whole world will look and will be perplexed. Sounds familiar? This is because it's the way it has been until such time the new Administration decided to alter the expression “violent Islamist extremism” by omitting the reference to Islam. And this is what has prompted the Jewish organizations to use Joe Lieberman, their Moses in America, to protest the injection of sanity into America's dealings with the world, and to ask that things be put back the way they were. These people never give up doing the wrong thing.

Finally, Israel was treated like a friend, a relative and a good neighbor by America for several decades, and what America got in return can only be described as criminal insanity. The saying: “Your wish is my command” was treated not figuratively but literally by Israel and its supporters. As a result, America paid dearly in terms of blood, treasure and prestige to protect Israel and promote its interests at a time when the agents of the latter were implementing a hidden agenda in America -- that of establishing a culture of fiefdom where they would govern like a master race. Everyone now realizes that things cannot go on like this in America anymore than they did everywhere else in the world where the Jews were pogrommed and holocausted over and over again. Consequently, what the Jews need now is not a phony Moses in the person of a Senator with a flair to deceive the Congress and betray America but a quiet Jewish revolution led by those who are willing to live as equals with the rest of humanity.

The White, Blue And The West Nile

The Canwest Corporation or what is left of it has changed hands going from the Asper family to Paul Godfrey and his associates. The new owners and the folks in Abu Dhabi may be interested to learn a few things about the hidden history of this corporation so as to act prudently and act in accordance with the exigencies of the situation. These people should know that up until Israel (Izzy) Asper's passing, it had been the unwritten rule that the Jewish owned media in Canada will play the role of the good cop with regard to matters relating to Jewish, Israeli, Middle Eastern, Arab and Muslim affairs. At the same time, the Jewish organizations were to use the power of the whisper to push the non-Jewish media such as the CBC, CTV, the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail to come down hard on the Arabs and the Muslims thus play the role of the bad cop and make the Jewish media look good by comparison. However, the rule was not always respected because the Jewish groups bickered among themselves as to where they should draw the line between what is acceptable pro-Israeli stance and what is unacceptable attack on the Arabs and the Muslims. One group wanted to pursue moderation so as to remain credible but another group argued that no stance can be too extreme when defending Israel and promoting the Jewish causes, or when beating up on the Arabs and discrediting the Muslim causes. The result has been that moderation prevailed at Canwest while Izzy Asper was still alive though it did so precariously, and that extremism started to gain ground after his passing.

However, even while the old man was alive, the extremists never stopped trying behind his back to influence the presentation of the news and the formulation of the editorial policy of the print and broadcast outlets at the Canwest empire. In fact, they continually tried to hurt the Arabs and the Muslims in every way they could but because they had to be careful not to get caught, they only met with minimal success. And parallel with these activities, they had visions of world conquest so they pushed the corporation to expand first in Australia and then Turkey where they saw an opportunity to set foot in the Muslim world. Indeed, in their quest to control the media in that part of the world, the Jewish organizations and their collaborators first tried to use the Clinton Administration to silence the Egyptian media. Then they used the Bush Administration to try and bomb Al Jazeera. Then they tried to buy Al Jazeera outright. Then they bombed all the print and television outlets they could bomb in occupied Palestine. Then they got the US government to launch the useless and pathetic Hurra Network in the Arabian Peninsula. And finally they tried to use the Canwest Corporation to infiltrate that part of the world but the thing disintegrated before they could meet with any success.

At the beginning, the flagship of the Canwest empire was the Global Television Network but given that the airwaves are owned by the public and regulated by the Canadian government as it is done everywhere in the world, there was only so much that the group of Jewish extremists could do to glorify Israel and the Jews while damning the Arabs and the Muslims. Thus, they badly needed a national print publication in which to express their extreme points of view and so they waited for an opportunity to present itself. Such opportunity came when Conrad Black who owned the Jerusalem Post in Israel proposed to sell its sister publication, the National Post, a newspaper he founded here in Canada. The Jewish extremists were happy to see Izzy Asper buy the national Post as they calculated that they will now be able to say and do more for the causes they champion without the fear of the corporation being called to the carpet by a government agency and forced to explain itself. And those extremists went very far, in fact, using the National Post to promote their causes while at the same time damning the Arabs and the Muslims which were muzzled to begin with by the fact that they had no vehicle through which to express themselves.

Now picture this: First, there was the Jerusalem Post in Israel and the National Post in Canada, both Posts being overseen by Conrad Black. When Black sold out, the National Post was overseen by Martin Newland. And where is Martin Newland now? He is overseeing the National in Abu Dhabi. Thus, there exists a historical straight line going from Jerusalem to Toronto to Abu Dhabi riding on the backs of the Jerusalem Post, the National Post and the National where the two Posts came under Conrad Black and the two Nationals came under Martin Newland. And the murmur inside the extreme Jewish organizations here in Canada is that the intellectual thrust of the three publications has remained constant, having been carried intact from Jerusalem to Toronto to Abu Dhabi. What was slightly modified in Abu Dhabi, however, has been the presentation which is now more subtle in some areas and less so in other areas, says the murmur. And it is this subtlety that has allowed Martin Newland to fly under the radar so to speak and remain undetected by those who trust him and have no idea what is going on in the darkness of his intellectual processes.

To understand what the intellectual thrust of the three publications carries with it, we need to know who Martin Newland is. He is described by those who have known him as being a restless man who was born in Africa to British parents. He has immense political and journalistic ambitions but is cursed with a temperament that causes him to always fall short trying to fulfill his ambitions. He goes from one thing to another always looking forward to meeting his Lady Luck but failing to meet her with every attempt. Still, being a Catholic journalist with a military background, he is considered by the Jewish groups to be a prized ally to have on their side. They are certain they hold him tight in their grip; they believe they can command him; they think he hears them; they hope he obeys them and they try to empower him with their support which they say is transmitted to him in the form of intelligence information, logistics, lobbying services and credit whenever he needs it.

If we assume any of this to be true, the question to ask is this: What can this man do for his masters being at the helm of the National in Abu Dhabi? To answer the question we need only to look at what happened at the Canwest Corporation in Canada, some of which must have happened under his watch and perhaps with his knowledge. This is the story: Unable to move the public or the politicians in a direction that would make life truly miserable for the Arabs and the Muslims in Canada thus cause some deranged kid to do something stupid and inflame the passions, the group of Jewish extremists concocted a number of plots to spread the anti-Arab, anti-Muslim hysteria in the country. At first they used the National Post alone to get there but when this failed to register enough traction, they enlisted the Global Television Network in the effort. Since I was not an avid follower of either outlet, I cannot tell from experience how they went about executing their plans, if they did at all, but what I can do is relay the reports I received as to what the plots entailed.

One plot was to warn the viewers they should refrain from exercising democracy in the usual way because these were unusual times. Thus, instead of communicating their concerns to the politicians who may think of them as troublemakers, the viewers were advised to contact the Global Television Network instead, and voice their concerns there because that is where the problems will be solved. To make the suggestion look serious, the Jewish extremists used the resources of the Global Network and the National Post to scour the country looking for stories to tell. They found a number of examples where people wrote to their municipal or provincial representatives in a tone harsh enough that the representatives thought it prudent to turn the missives to the police. I am told that the group of Jewish extremists used these stories on the air to show the viewers what can happen to them if they wrote to their representatives. They succeeded by this trick to motivate a number of citizens to call the network and exercise democracy through it in the style of the Jewish organizations.

Another plot was to secretly infiltrate the Jewish owned Indigo and Chapter bookstores to look for and retrieve information about the sort of books that people buy there. Apparently, they succeeded in doing the infiltration part of the plan but they came out with useless information which they used anyway. What they found was that a couple of Muslim sounding names had used their credit cards to buy Almanacs. Thus, the plan that the extremists concocted was to use the Global TV Network and the National Post to spark a hysteria about someone planning to explode a device in the subway. They reckoned that when the hysteria takes hold (whether or not such a device is discovered) they will be able to announce the discovery of a plot to bomb Jewish owned businesses and buildings, and be taken seriously. They would then contact the authorities in charge of security and give details about the Muslims who bought the Almanacs, asserting that these people bought the publications to look for and identify the sort of targets they had in mind and decide on which ones to bomb.

A third plot was to use the National Post and the TV Network to saturate the country with hysterical fears about the West Nile virus in the hope that the expression West Nile will for ever conjure up images of Egypt thereby associate that country with a deadly disease. They got a boost for the idea when someone they could control decided to launch a lawsuit against the Ontario health authority for failing to prevent the spread of the West Nile virus. And this is where they got a surprise that turned out to be nastier to them than the West Nile disease could have ever been. It happened that when their lawyers researched the matter, they discovered that the disease did not originate in Egypt or the Sudan but that it came from Israel. What happened here was that a number of trouble making Israelis had gone to the Province of West Nile in Uganda to look for ways to foment discord among the nations of the Nile Basin. They caught the disease in there and took it to Israel upon their return home from where the disease was brought to North America. When told of these facts, the Jewish extremists and their collaborators killed the story faster than they could say West Nile. And we never heard of that virus ever again. Hallelujah.

And the Nile is where the Jewish extremists want Martin Newland to dabble these days in the National. It is not the West Nile virus of Uganda and Israel but the White Nile and the Blue Nile of Sudan, of Egypt and of the other riparian countries. The extremists want Newland to tackle the subject of sharing the Nile waters in the manner that they and Israel want to see it tackled. That is, they want him to foment as much discord as he can among the Nile nations by creating the kind of noise that would spark divisions among the nations of the Basin and hurt everybody if need be to make sure that the two Arab countries, Egypt and Sudan will be hurt in the process. The Jewish organizations feel that Martin Newland can get away doing this because he and his cohorts have already succeeded in implementing the first stage of their plan which was to infiltrate the Arab and the Muslim worlds. They feel he has established a strong journalistic presence there by playing the game that is truly their signature. That is, he has played on the ego of the small Gulf States by bashing the bigger Arab states such as Egypt and Saudi Arabia which used to dominate the Arab narrative. The Jewish organizations feel that he and his cohorts have a clear shot at making more gains by turning Arabia and the Muslim World into a dominion as obedient to their command as the US Congress has been to the Jewish lobby. And they dream of the day when they will say jump and the Arabs -- like the US Congress -- will ask: how high do you want me to jump, oh wise and beloved master?

Those around here who know about Martin Newland and his ambitions are placing bets as to whether or not he will succeed in accomplishing something so big that he will secure for himself a big place in history which, according to them, is his most cherished ambition. Having control over the Holy Koran radio station in the Emirates, some are betting that he will do what some Catholics who were drafted by the Jewish organizations have done before. Citing the example of the Catholic artist who defamed Christianity to please his Jewish masters by painting a picture of Jesus on the cross immersed in a glass of urine, these betters are betting that Newland the Catholic will not rest until he makes the Muslims in the Emirates and all of Arabia run around and say not “Peace be upon Him” but “Piss on him” every time they utter the name of the Prophet.

Paul Godfrey in Canada and the rulers of the Emirates should be aware of this history and should watch like a hawk what a demented fringe of Jewish extremists and their running dogs are doing because what these guys do behind the backs of everyone is more than meets the eye. And I hope that Martin Newland will be able to demonstrate that he has nothing to do with the fantasy that is brewing in the minds of that demented fringe.

She Wants To Hebronize DC

At the height of the cycle of hysteria such as these moments come and go in America, and where the anti-alien demagoguery has reached a fevered pitch, Dorothy Rabinowitz who is a member of the editorial board at the Wall Street Journal has joined the fray and published a rather lengthy article on June 9, 2010 under the title: “The Alien in the White House” and the subtitle: “The distance between the president and the people is beginning to be revealed.” In fact, she ends the article by stressing the existence of that distance, so here is an edited version of the ending: “The truth about that distance is now sinking in … A country … needs every infusion of reality it can get.” But you ask what is this reality she is talking about? To find out we look at the first paragraph of the article. It goes like this: “The … disenchantment with Barack Obama … about his failure to reflect a powerful sense of urgency about the oil spill.”

Can you believe it? The woman is making no secret of the fact that she is delighted about the oil spill which is now devastating America and will continue to devastate it for decades to come. And she is gloating, she explains throughout the article, because the pain that the spill is causing has at last revealed the existence of a rift between President Obama and the American people. But is that all she is saying? Did she go through the anguish of writing an article of this length only to suggest that if oil is spilled again, the President may wish to express a more powerful sense of urgency? No, not exactly. Actually, there is more to what she is saying, and you get a sense of that when you see the full version of the paragraph that ends the article. Here now is that full version: “A country governed by leaders too principled to speak the name of its mortal enemy needs every infusion of reality it can get.” So this is it, folks, the woman is speaking of a mortal enemy. In reality then, she is saying it serves America right to suffer the devastation of the oil spill because its leaders have neglected to appreciate the threat of a mortal enemy, one that is also an alien and whose existence is ignored by the alien in the White House – which is what makes him an alien in the first place. Get it now?

So then who is the alien that is a mortal enemy? Well, Rabinowitz says the enemy is something that the president identifies with but she hastens to add this: “...a matter having nothing to do with delusions about his [the President's] birthplace cherished by the demented fringe.” Okay, this is what it is not but what is it? Actually, it gets a little murky to answer this question because you recognize the situation she describes as being a classic case of ambiguity, something that is common to people of the author's ilk. First, she says this about the President: “...he is, at heart and by instinct, the voice mainly of his ideological class.” She then devotes several paragraphs to slam the “...indisputable Islamist identity of the enemy...” which she says the President and his Administration avoid offending at any cost.

Baffled but eager to get inside the brain of the woman to understand how she thinks and what it is that she is trying to say, you go over the article several times and look for the nexus that may tie the President's ideological class to which she accuses him of belonging with the tolerance that he exhibits for the Islamist identity which she accuses him of harboring. But you find no nexus. In fact, Rabinowitz does not say the President is a Muslim and neither does she say he was born outside of America like says the demented fringe, but nowhere does she make the effort to explain what she means by ideological class in the context of what she says is his tolerance for Islam, that which makes of him an alien in the White House. So much complication and yet so little explication.

And because she fails to explain, you try to come up with an explanation yourself. What you do is theorize that she wants to have it both ways. She wants to say she is not of the demented fringe but -- without saying it outright – she wants to lead you to conclude on your own that because the President sympathizes so profoundly with the Muslims, he might as well be one of them. Now confident that this will gain considerable traction at a time of high anti-alien anxiety and demagoguery, she openly expresses her delight at the oil spill because the pain that the calamity is causing the people of America has at last identified the President of America as an alien in the White House who tolerates the Islamist enemy.

But do not think for a moment that we have reached the end of the story, dear friend, because I assure you this is only the beginning. And to see how the rest of the story may unfold, we go to a place that has long been the soft underbelly of America where ideas are tested before being unleashed in the home of Uncle Sam. The place is Canada, my own home sweet home. Get this now, dear friend, some fifteen or twenty years ago the Jewish organizations tried to duplicate in Montreal -- a city in the French speaking Province of Quebec -- the events that were unfolding in occupied Palestine. Far away across one ocean and one sea, the Jewish settlers over there were trying to create an enclave around the city of Hebron in the heart of the Palestinian territories, and make the enclave a part of Israel which is miles away. And in that exact same manner, the English speaking Jewish minority in Montreal wanted to carve out a piece of that city and make it a part of the English speaking Province of Ontario which is miles away. And some members of that minority forcefully agitated in favor of the plan, traveling as far away as New York to articulate their cause and collect money to fund the effort.

While most of the people who heard of the plan, be they French, English or neither, laughed at the idea, a good part of the Jewish residents in Montreal were horrified. They were horrified because part of the argument that the advocates of the plan were advancing was to the effect that the Jews had lived happily in that part of Montreal for decades but are now made to feel alienated in a city and a province that were becoming increasingly French speaking. Therefore, they argued, the Jews have the right to make their part of the city an enclave and have it join English speaking Ontario – which they admit may be miles away -- but will make them feel comfortable again like the good old days. This argument did not sit well with the horrified group of Jews because they saw in it an invitation for non-Jews to never want the Jews to come and live in their midst again lest the latter decide someday to carve out an enclave and make it a part of somewhere else. That is, they will want to hebronize the place.

And if you take all the arguments made by Dorothy Rabinowitz and you advance them to where they will go, you'll find them to be moving on a track that leads to a similar sort of vision. In fact, the author does not only want to hebronize a piece of real estate called the District of Columbia; she wants to hebronize the entire American government and have it annexed, in a virtual sense, to a system of governance that would be controlled by someone else. But who might that someone be? Well, the woman is mad at the whole world because she says the President went to foreign lands and lectured to the people over there about America's moral failures, its arrogance and insensitivity. Also, she does not trust the American people who failed to see how destructive their President has been, the reason why she gloats about the calamitous oil spill that hit them. Well then, this leaves the Jewish organizations as the only candidate to take over America and run it. And come to think of it, these organizations would be the best suited to conduct the war against the Muslims whom she says are the enemy within.

We got inside the brain of Dorothy Rabinowitz to see what makes it possible for her to reason and to argue that the oil spill is a good thing for America and the world, and we discovered a few disturbing realities. First, she fashioned a springboard by combining a recent catastrophe (the oil spill) with the old American trait of hostility to new immigrants. Loath to let this opportunity go to waste without exploiting it, she used the springboard to demonize the sitting President of the country by morphing his image with that of an enemy she calls mortal. She then suggested that the President is at last being isolated if not ostracized by his own people, something she says is all to the good.

We immediately understand that the aim of the whole exercise, as articulated in a more subtle way, has been to push forward the idea that America and the world must now be wrenched from the grip of the President and the grip of his Administration to be handed over to the Jewish organizations to control and to run. It is further understood that such organizations will discharge their responsibility with superior intelligence by mobilizing the resources of the nation to fight the Islamist enemy to the bitter end thus save humanity from the folly of cozying up to the dreaded enemy. This is an enemy that was left to roam the world freely, and has now been found to roam America itself and worse, found to inhabit the White House, she says.

What is not surprising in all of this is that Rabinowitz said not one word to damn Ronald Reagan who created the Mujahedeen (those who practice the Jihad in Arabic), and not one word to damn Israel that created both Hisbullah (the party of God in Arabic) and Hamas (the enthusiasts in Arabic). These are the kids she calls mortal enemies who are shunned by their own people precisely because they were created by America and Israel to fight, yes the Soviets, but also the Arabs and the Muslims. However, all of this is beside the point.

What is to the point is the fact that this thing about isolation and ostracism is exactly what has happened to the Jews throughout their history. Like her predecessors who led the Jews by self-appointment, Dorothy Rabinowitz is making the bed where her people will sleep again. The hope is that she will not become too enthusiastic (Hamas like) and go as far as dig the grave in which she will end up burying her people which is also what has happened to the Jews throughout their history.

May God save the Jews from themselves.

A Political Derivative Called Israel

Derivatives were first created in the world of finance to respond to the needs of individuals and businesses in terms of cash flow, insurance protection and hedging possibilities thus, they were products that brought predictability to a host of commercial undertakings practiced by all sorts of clients; and this was a good development. But then came the people who employed their creative talent not to create products that better serve the serious clients but products that attract a new kind of clientele. At first, there were the products that attracted the clients who sought to maximize the gains that can be made by taking advantage of existing loopholes in the law. Then came the products that made it possible for the traders who wish to do an end run on the law without technically violating it and thus operate as if the law did not exist. The most infamous of these products still in use today is the derivative that allows traders to sell securities and currencies they do not have, an operation called naked short selling. This is an operation that is known to be illegal when done directly but is made legal at least in appearance when done as a combination involving the appropriate strategy and the correct derivative.

Even before the financial derivative was created there existed the politico-journalistic derivative, the use of which was motivated by financial considerations among other things while its strength rested on the deficiencies that were embedded into the political and journalistic body of laws dominating the so-called liberal democratic system of governance. The idea being that a derivative is an instrument which allows the practitioner to circumvent the law without appearing to be outside of it, ingenious tricks were invented in America to allow the politicians to use Israel as a derivative and thus commit illegal acts going as far as treason without appearing to violate the law at least in a technical sense.

To achieve this, Israel was made into something it is not, something no country can ever be when left to its own device. Israel was elevated by the hubris of the international Zionist movement to a status whereby it is now rewarded for accomplishments it never achieves, and forgiven for crimes it commits by force of habit and religious beliefs. And this forgiveness is bestowed on the ground that Israel is so perfect it can never commit the crimes attributed to it no matter what the evidence may show. As a result, Israel can be praised but never criticized, a rule that can only be broken at one's own peril. This done, the politicians that need money and a good press -- which they all do to support their political campaigns -- channel their activities through the Judeo-Israeli prism. That is, they start their campaigns by saying the things that help maintain Israel's status as a perfect nation which it is not, unblemished by no fault of any kind which is demonstrably absurd, ridiculous and false. But the politicians go on to build their careers on those shaky grounds without the fear of being swallowed by them because it was made safer to go along with the absurd than to challenge it.

Once you create a situation such as this inside a system that is tolerant by nature, like the thing used to be when the original American ideal was dominant, the thing changes rapidly because the new setup invites everyone to join in. Those who nevertheless decide to stay out of the setup discover to their dismay that they have been left out without a competitive advantage, an advantage that is enjoyed by those who have joined the setup. The ones on the outside end up losing early on as they are pushed out of the race before they even realize what hit them. In the meantime, the politicians and journalists who join the setup waste no time channeling their activities through the Judeo-Israeli prism where they soon find themselves play with the same derivative as everyone else just to stay in the game. And given that the whole thing is a zero sum game, they end up where they started relative to the world outside the setup except that they discover they are now singing from the same Judeo-Israeli book of songs where the only hymn they learn to sing is to praise Israel and damn her enemies. They go on to sing the hymn with gusto anyway not because they believe in anything they say but because it is a matter of survival for them to adopt this stance of intellectual dishonesty. All in all, they know they are participating in the maintenance of a Ponzi scheme that keeps on getting larger at the base as it keeps on getting more divorced from reality; and like the drug addict, they hate themselves for doing this but they cannot stop doing it.

When the scheme grows large enough to reach a critical mass, those who had fallen over each other to bring it to this point start to advocate the moving of money from the American treasury to Israel. Some of the money then returns as legal kickbacks to the politicians who were instrumental in having it sent to Israel in the first place. Some of this money returns not as cash stuffed in brown envelopes but as donations made by Jewish business people to American political campaigns. These would be the Jewish American business owners who run businesses in America and have affiliations in Israel. And while this is going on, the Jewish journalistic establishment sees to it that the political candidates in question are supported with good stories, glowing editorials and great features in the media, and that they are protected from attacks for incompetence they may have exhibited in the past or misbehavior they may have committed in a previous incarnation.

One beneficiary of this system has been the campaign of George W. Bush who was eventually elected President of the United States of America. And his case is a classic example of how the Judeo-American political Ponzi scheme works. Now, whether or not the following transaction was fully negotiated is immaterial in the context of this discussion as there has been controversy about it. This is what is known about the situation: Elliot Abrams maintains that the W promised the Israelis parts of East Jerusalem if they agreed to do one thing or another for him ... I cannot remember what but no matter. And to this day, the Israelis want the new American Administration to honor this agreement. The problem is that the W had no right to sell something that was not his in the first place. East Jerusalem belongs to the Palestinians, and only they can sell it if they so wish; the W could not have short sold it in return for a monetary compensation or a political endorsement or a song or anything like that. But this sort of thing is what happens all the time in American politics not only with regard to Palestine but also Taiwan, Cuba and other places where the politicians buy votes and pay for them with something that exists overseas which does not belong to them. A system of governance that was the stuff of legend has been turned into a product that is stuff for the toilet. Disgusting.

There is another example where this kind of Ponzi scheme is prevalent in America. Look at the sponsors of programs on public television. Many of them are so-called charitable foundations owned by Jewish families that own businesses in America with affiliation in Israel. Sponsoring a program for a year may cost them ten thousand dollars for which the program will get a matching fund of another ten thousand dollars from the government which will make it possible to run a fund-raising campaign and collect maybe another thirty or forty thousand dollars from the public. Of all the people who donate, no one gets rewarded except the Jewish foundations and their owners. They get rewarded because most of the guests who are invited to the programs will be the sort who will glorify Israel and damn her enemies. To put it bluntly, more than half will be Jewish and the rest will be sympathetic to Israel and the Jewish causes. The net result is that Israel is made into something it is not; something no country can ever be when left to its own device. It is elevated to a status whereby it is routinely rewarded for accomplishments it never achieves, and forgiven for crimes it commits by force of habit and religious belief. And this forgiveness is bestowed on the ground that Israel is so perfect it cannot commit the crimes attributed to it no matter what the evidence may show. Billions of dollars are then sent to Israel as a result of this free publicity, and the donors who gave ten thousand dollars get to collect a good part of those billions. And this is a Ponzi scheme that is made to look legal but is in reality a criminal act at its core.

The trouble with derivatives in general is that they help you build an edifice that never stops growing. However, the edifice is not just any edifice; it is a pyramid that is made of sand. But unlike a sand castle where you begin with a design and build it from the bottom up then stop when you reach the high point, the pyramid offers a different approach: you are allowed to add to its height indefinitely as long as you keep enlarging the base. This is how the financial derivatives become a pyramid scheme or a Ponzi scheme or as they are now known, a Maddoff scheme. Thus, while the castle may tumble if you try to add to its height beyond the original design, the building of a pyramid appears ready to go up for ever as long as you enlarge the base while going up. But this is only the appearance because there is a catch here that is not easily perceived. It is that gravity will eventually do you in. You see, the more you add to the height of the pyramid, the more pressure you add to the base; and the base is where the crack begins. In human terms, if the activity is a political pyramid scheme, the revolt will begin at the level of the grass roots when the pressure becomes too great to bear.

Thus, watching a few scenarios such as those described above unfold before their eyes, the nations of the world began to see Israel as being the political Ponzi scheme that it is, made possible by the derivatives of a system of liberal democracies in Europe and North America where politicians are elected not by the force of their ideas but a system of carrots and sticks; the carrots being money and a good press, the sticks being a nasty press and the promise of financial drought if not personal ruin. One by one, the nations of the world broke away from the idea that to support the Jews having a homeland in Palestine meant to help put an end to antisemitism and bring peace to mankind. Instead, they began to see that the constant enemy to trail the Jews have been the leaders who hung on to a destructive ideology and thus led the Jews to their destruction time and again throughout the centuries.

They now realize that the only way to put an end to this madness is for the Unites States of America to stop supporting Israel's every caprice and let it learn to get along with its neighbors as well as the rest of the world. The trouble is that too many politicians and people in the media have been ensnared by a system that takes a limb out of you if you try to free yourself. Thus, the pyramid scheme keeps on rising while the pressure at the base keeps on mounting. And the way the thing stands now is that something will give sooner or later. If it turns out to be another horror, let it be said that the horror did not happen because human beings are born with antisemitism written into their genetic code but because those who adhere to the culture of the Talmud follow a code that is self-destructive.

The Eunuch That Chopped His Manhood

Israel has again done what it does all the time which is to hunt and to butcher innocent people, and call on its supporters, cohorts and running dogs on the Left and the Right not to let the crisis go to waste, as would say Rahm Emanuel, but use it to glorify Israel and damn her enemies. What was to follow this performance was the ritual of getting at the throat of the US Congress to compel it to order more help to be sent to Israel to serve as the icing on the cake thus cap a successful hunt and killing orgy. However, something went wrong this time because there were too many cooks in the kitchen so to speak. Actually, there were two cooks which made it one too many. There were Rahm Emanuel and Benjamin Netanyahu, a bad combination because the latter was bound to try and outdo the first which he did but ended up chopping his own manhood trying to make his erection look more impressive than it is.

To understand what exactly happened here, we need to take a look at the Jewish rendition of the Middle Eastern history from 1948 to the present. They say there were four wars and Israel won them all. Actually there were more than four engagements and Israel lost them all. It won a few battles, the most important being the one in 1967 which took Egypt six years to undo and thus free the Sinai. Other than that, there was a one-sided operation in 1948 where the Jewish terrorists, coming out of Europe's deadliest war had infiltrated the Palestinian territory, which was then occupied by Britain. The Jews were carrying in their hands the deadliest weapons existing at the time and they were carrying in their hearts a hatred of such intensity it still busts every scale by which it is measured even today, seven decades after the events. And these people started to terrorize and to butcher the simple people of Palestinian who had nothing with which to defend themselves but their bare hands and the few stones they could pick up on the ground.

The other Arabs who were themselves occupied by the British could not stand idle and watch the horror that was unfolding in Palestine, and so they responded by assuring the Palestinians it was not a shame to grab their children and flee the advancing Jewish horror. And with no better weapons than those carried by a small police force, the Arabs did the best they could to cover the backs of the fleeing Palestinian families, but they also managed to keep the well equipped Jewish force from taking Gaza or Jerusalem, two places that the invading hordes coveted very much and had their eyes on. In fact, they had been saluting each other in the Diaspora of their imagination with the saying: “Next year in Jerusalem.”

There was also the 1956 incident where Britain and France attacked Egypt in an effort to retake the Suez Canal which was nationalized by the Egyptians a few months prior. This was mostly an airborne attack that was followed by paratroopers descending on the canal to occupy a few strategic posts. It was said that a number of Israeli jeeps took advantage of the Franco-British operation to embark on a joyride in the Sinai and playact the occupation thereof. They left when the French and the British were ordered out of there by General Dwight Eisenhower who had liberated Europe from the Nazi menace during WWII and was now President of the United States of America. But as it turned out, this was more than a joyride for the Israelis because it was then that they learned a few things about modern warfare, and so they came back eleven years later.

In 1967 America was mired in a bad war called Vietnam, and so was Egypt in a war called Yemen. Seeing an opportunity to steal water from the Lebanese and the Syrians without Egypt coming to their aid, having the bulk of its fighting force in Yemen, the Israelis provoked a crisis that prompted President Johnson of the United States to send an envoy to talk peace and help resolve the multifaceted dispute. While the American envoy was on his way to the region, the Israelis who had prepared for this moment for eleven years attacked Egypt in a Pearl Harbor style blitz when no one expected an attack ... the way that the Japanese did when the Americans were expecting the peace talks to begin and not an attack on their bases. The Israelis were able to send their tanks deep into the Sinai thus start a war that took Egypt six years to finish, which it did by booting the Israelis out of the Sinai. And never again did the Israelis attack someone that could defend themselves. Instead, they went after the defenseless Lebanese a few times and went after the totally unarmed civilian population that lives in the Palestinian territories more than anyone can count.

And the Jewish organizations have been describing this history as winning four wars. Now, believing the Jewish lies, Benjamin Netanyahu refused to take what Rahm Emanuel had cooked for him and be satisfied with that. What Emanuel had cooked was this: Because Netanyahu was received like the bankrupt nobody and the castrated eunuch that he is by the White House at an earlier time, Emanuel who is the Chief of Staff at the White House had arranged for him to be received with a little more dignity by Mr. Obama, President of the United States. Not only that, but the Jewish organizations had also arranged for Netanyahu to be received by Stephen Harper of Canada so as to make the trip look like it was a bigger moment than a mere soothing session aimed at applying ointment to Netanyahu's wounded pride.

But then Murphy's Law struck. This is the law that says if something can go wrong it will go wrong. It struck by making use of the Benjamin Netanyahu character to make a mess of the Rahm Emanuel plan. The events unfolded like this: By pure chance, the people who wanted to help the Palestinians in Gaza -- now under Israeli blockade for several years -- set sail toward their destination at a time that gave the greedy Netanyahu an opportunity he could not resist. Many of the people on the boats were Turks and their effort was blessed by the leadership in Turkey. But Turkey and Israel had gone through a diplomatic row at an earlier occasion, and Netanyahu always wanted to wield his inflated manhood at his counterparts in Turkey to show them that he was the bigger and stiffer man. Thus, he ordered his military to plan for and to execute an operation that will seize the Freedom Flotilla en route to Gaza and bring it to an Israeli port so that the entire operation is completed just before he met with Stephen Harper.

This sort of trick was a habit started and followed religiously by Ariel Sharon who used to send American made Apache helicopters and F16 fighter bombers to bomb the homes, hospitals and schools of Palestinians during or before his meetings with W. Bush knowing that the American President was not going to comment on the savagery. This way, Sharon was able to demonstrate time and again to the Palestinians and to the world that he had the W. in his pocket and that he could commit any crime he desired and count on the American veto to cover him at the Security Council. But Murphy's Law was there and it spoiled everything. Having little time to prepare for the operation, the usually clumsy Israeli military proved to be even clumsier when it was rushed to do something as simple as board a ship full of peace activists. People were killed, some of them Turks, and the net result has been that the already castrated Netanyahu managed to chop his manhood to an even shorter size.
