Josh Gelernter tells us all about “What Israel Does Wrong,”
an article he wrote that was published on January 2, 2016 in National Review
Online.
Perhaps Gelernter needs to be reminded that Israel does
nothing that is right, and this includes allowing people like himself to speak
on her behalf. The Israelis allow this much to happen instead of telling
Gelernter and those like him to shut up and mind their own business because
they are harming Israel ;
something they do in return for whatever pleasure they may derive by indulging
in this kind of reveries.
In fact, the approach he is taking in this article boils
down to saying that Israel
is perfect in everything it does except one; it consistently fails to explain
to the world how perfect it is. And so, he takes it upon himself to review what
has transpired lately in the region, spinning every event in such a way as to
show that Israel is squeaky
clean, and arguing that the world – especially the part of it that surrounds Israel – is
rotten.
True to form, he starts the article like this: “Israel needs to
make the case for its own survival. Here's how.” He goes from there to set a
scene in which he calls “tourists” the Jewish squatters who are occupying the
Palestinian homeland; and calls “terrorists” the Palestinian victims of a home
invasion that was made possible to accommodate American settlers, using
American weapons, American financing, American encouragement and doing all this
under America's protection.
The consequence has been the creation of a situation in
which the people of Palestine find themselves
with nothing to defend themselves against American-made tanks, helicopter
gunships, smart and cluster bombs – all that thanks to America 's continued effort to keep
the Jews armed to the teeth while maintaining the Palestinians disarmed and
helpless.
After three generations of this sort of Judeo-American
genocidal practices, the young men of Palestine
have learned to defy the counsel of their elders. They decided to add one more
weapon to the arsenal which, up to now, consisted of their bare hands and the
stones they threw at Jewish tanks and armored vehicles. They now use sharp
objects with which to push back and scare away the Israeli and American
soldiers of genocide.
Thus, beside the old Jewish whine expressing the refrain:
“they throw stones at our soldiers, oh pity me, pity me,” the self-appointed
defenders of Israel's savagery – such as Josh Gelernter – now take it upon
themselves to whine the new refrain: “Israel is suffering a Knife Intifada, oh
memorialize Israel's dead American squatters, memorialize Israel's dead
American squatters.”
Our author also wants Israel
to create a 90-second commercial that will educate the “civilized” world as to
the merit in the causes of Israel .
The commercial will ask the audience four questions relating to the reasons why
the viewers may harbor hatred toward Israel … and then set the record
straight.
With regard to the occupation of Palestine ,
Gelernter lied saying that Israel
offered to end it in 2008 but the Palestinians deputized their president
Mahmoud Abbas to say: “I reject it out of hand.” Perhaps Gelernter means to say
that the people of Palestine
love being occupied because it gives them reason to throw stones at tanks.
Maybe he believes there is entertainment in this game. If he does, he needs to
see a psychiatrist.
With regard to the blockade of the Gaza Strip, he lied
saying that Egypt
is doing it too. The fact is that Egypt
does not blockade the airspace or the maritime routes leading into Gaza or out of it; only Israel does that. As to Egypt , it shares a land border with Gaza , something it
manages according to international norms. It does it no better and no worse
than America 's management of
the border it shares with Mexico .
With regard to Israel
targeting civilians in Gaza ,
he lied saying that the facts established by the Goldstone Report were later
retracted. The truth is that numerous teams of lawyers from around the world
spent two years looking for a fault in the report and could find none. And so,
the Jews latched on to one word in the report they said was a poor choice. They
confronted Judge Goldstone who wanted them out of his hair, so he conceded it
might have been a poor choice of a word. And this was enough for Josh Gelernter
and those like him to run around claiming that the entire report was retracted
by its author. This is worse than hogwash; it is Jewishwash.
With regard to the Jewish settlements in the West bank;
Gelernter lied saying that they are built on land owned by no one. The fact is
that the Jews deliberately destroy the homes and farms of Palestinians to then
rob the land. But even if it is true that the land is owned by no one, imagine
hordes of Russian or Chinese nationals invading Alaska or the Canadian North and settling in
them saying that the land is “owned” by no one. There would be carpet bombing
of them animals.
Finally, Josh Gelernter does something that tells you how
the Jews create the ocean of hate in which they swim and thrive like fish. Look
what he says: “Why should a future Palestinian
State be free of Jews?
Should France or England or the United States ban Muslim
immigration?” The fact is that it is Israel
which refuses to take-in the Palestinians who yearn to return to their stolen
properties in occupied Tel Aviv, Haifa
and such places. This is happening at a time when the Palestinians have said
that when their homeland will be liberated, the Jews who wish to live in it
should apply, and if approved will have to come legally – not riding a tank or
an armored carrier.
If by now, dear reader, you're asking how it is that a Jew
has said this much without blowing his case to smithereens, rest assured that
Gelernter did not disappoint. In fact, he did just that. He asked his readers a
fifth question relating to the matter of hating Israel . It is this: “Do you hate Israel because
it's a product of white colonization of Arab land?”
Having noted that he said “white colonization” which means
European colonization, he now does the equivalent of hitting you in the face
with the Jewish sledgehammer of contradictions. Here it is: “Jews are
indigenous to the land … That's why Jesus wasn't Polish.”
Is he saying that only Polish Jews are alien to the land of Palestine ? Or is he using the word
“Polish” to mean all Jews from Eastern Europe are aliens to Palestine ? Or perhaps he means, all European
Jews – those from the East and those from the West? If so, what about the
African Jews from Ethiopia
and elsewhere in North and Central Africa ? And
what of the Asian Jews?
