Benjamin Netanyahu and his delusion machine are at it again
spinning the realities of the Middle East situation in such a way as to give
the American legislators they have under blackmail an excuse to once again betray
the interests of their country to serve those of the Jewish leaders whose ego
never gets satisfied no matter how much victories they score at the hands of
the traitors in the American Congress.
Once again Netanyahu and the egomaniacs in the Jewish lobby
of America are calling on
their lackeys in the Congress to maintain America
on a war footing by keeping it in a state of virtual war with Iran . They want
the existing sanctions against that country – which are by any definition an
act of war – to be strengthened because they say that the sanctions proved to
be effective in bringing Iran
to the negotiating table. Thus, they argue that stronger sanctions will speed
up the process and force Iran
to capitulate.
They expand on this theory by saying that the Iranian
economy has all but collapsed as demonstrated by the rampant inflation which is
plaguing the country, and by the devaluation of the rial, their currency. Yes, Iran has
experienced some inflation, and has seen its currency devalued somewhat, but
that was nowhere near as calamitous as the troubles that have plagued some
countries in the South of Europe. In fact, Iran has now gotten over the hump,
and is very much in control of its economy. This says that the leaders of the
country have decided to come to the negotiating table because they feel they
have a strong hand, not because they were brought to their knees by the
sanctions – like says the Jewish spin.
The first thing that the Americans should do now to get
their arms around the realities of the Middle East, and beyond it to the
realities of the “old world” is to dismiss the propaganda that is spewed by the
Jewish delusion machine. The next thing the Americans should do is recall what
has been happening over the last four or five decades. If they do this
seriously, they will realize that Europe, Asia and the Middle East see that
their interests are now converging, and that they are at odds with the
interests of America .
Not only that, but a bitter taste left in the mouths of the Europeans long ago
is beginning to make itself felt again.
Here is the history that the Americans have falsified to
themselves and their audiences, but that the Europeans and the other peoples
have not forgotten. Contrary to what the Americans have been saying, mainly
that they maintained forces in the vicinity of the Persian Gulf to make sure
that oil moved freely to the rest of the world, the world has known all along
that America was there because it feared that the Soviet Union might move in
and take control of the region's oil fields.
Something then happened that gave credence to this theory.
More than that, what happened is what left the bitter taste in the mouth of the
Europeans. To understand this part, you need to know that by the early to mid
1960s, Europe was totally dependent on Middle Eastern oil while America had
near self-sufficiency. The 1967 Israeli attack in the Sinai forced the closure
of the Suez Canal through which oil moved from the Persian
Gulf to the European ports. The Egyptians could have pushed the Israelis
back and reopened the Canal within two years but the Americans made sure this
did not happen so as to keep the Europeans at an economic disadvantage, having
to pay more for oil that was now coming to them from around the African
Continent.
Now that America is getting close to becoming self
sufficient again in hydrocarbons, especially natural gas, the Europeans see
that the old scenario is about to repeat itself but with a new twist. There is
an Asia that is booming and in need of
hydrocarbons, especially the cleaner burning natural gas – given that the
Continent is choking with pollution already. This means that sanctions or not,
the Asians are going to do business with an Iran that has huge reserves of
natural gas. As to the Europeans who are paying 4 times the price that the
Americans pay for natural gas, they will not cut off their noses to slap their
faces just to please the Americans. They will want to see the Iranian gas move
through the pipelines to hold the price where it is if not get it down a
little.
The Iranians know this, and having survived the sanctions up
to now, they know they have a hand as strong as it will ever get. So do
Netanyahu and the Jewish lobby who fear seeing Iran become not a nuclear
superpower which would be meaningless, but an economic superpower that will
force the whole region to accelerate its own progress and grow at an even
faster rate than now.
