Continental Europe is getting it right

It is customary to refer to Europe without Britain as Continental Europe, and this is what is meant in this presentation. That's because when it comes to the use of certain ideas and customs, Britain sides more readily with the English speaking world (sometimes referred to as the Anglo World) which also comprises North America and Australia – than it does with the European countries, however disparate the European cultures may be such as the gulf that divides the South from the North of the Continent.

One glaring phenomenon to which we can look, attesting to the schism dividing Continental Europe from the Anglo World is the difference in the success that the Jewish propaganda machine is having in both places. After turning the American congress into a virtual private washroom, and guarding the key jealously in their pocket, the Jewish leaders tried to duplicate that success in the European Parliament. They failed in a big way after scoring a few initial successes that made them believe, for a moment, that they were on their way to “owning” both sides of the North Atlantic.

The Jews failed because the Continental Europeans – be they of Latin or Nordic origin – do not subscribe to the Anglo notion that “if you can't beat them join them” to which is added under the breath “until such time you can pounce on them and finish them off.” No. The Europeans are a lot more straightforward than that. They will tell you in your face what they think of you, and damn political correctness. This explains to some degree why the colonies of a previous era still trust the French more than they do the British, and why there is more frustration among the immigrant population of Britain than that of Continental Europe. But that's another subject.

This brings us to the Wall Street Journal editorial of September 16, 2014. It came under the title: “Merkel Confronts Anti-Semitism” and the subtitle: “The Chancellor affirms Germany's best liberal traditions.” So far so good because what the Chancellor did was act normally, which is in the best tradition not only of Germany but all of Europe. Weeks after the events to which the editorial is referring, she had the occasion to address the subject, and she did so calmly without being gripped with the sense of hysteria that was demonstrated by a French Prime Minister who was fired from his post shortly thereafter.

The Journal editorial went on to describe the anti-Jewish, anti-Israel events that took place in the summer just past, and compared the numbers with those of a previous time, thus demonstrating that there has been an increase in the occurrences. But then the editors did something that is as Jewish as matzoh. They simply could not restrain themselves from spinning the matter into the kind of thing that instantly turns sympathy for the Jews into disgust for the ways of the Jews.

What they did was assign blame to everyone but themselves or Israel, and they added this mind-blowing piece of trash: “But also culpable is the Israel hatred from elite quarters, which lends specious respectability to disreputable ideas with dangerous consequences.” They don't say that what is disreputable in this whole matter has been an air force equipped with the most lethal machines ever built by the American military industrial complex being used without restraint to murder women and children in their sleep as they took refuge in schools run by the United Nations.

But that's not all because having condemned a portion of German society, they now reassure their rank and file that (as it has been throughout Jewish history) they have secured the leader of the country to their side. To this end, they dredged a piece of old news and tied it to the subject at hand so as to make it look like there was a cause and effect relationship between the two. They mentioned the delivery of a German submarine to Israel.

What they did not mention was that the Germans sold submarines to the Egyptians as well, that the Israelis tried to get in the way of the transaction, and that Chancellor Merkel told Netanyahu to buzz off because, unlike the American congress of freaks, Germany will not allow him to veto its decisions.

One more thing. Talking about the submarine, the editors added that it “is capable of launching nuclear-tipped cruise missiles.” Well, the Germans did not build submarines with this specific capability in mind. But if this is what the Israelis want the world to believe they will do with it, they should not be surprised if someone takes them seriously and decides to do something about it before they can actuate their fantasy.
