Fred Fleitz is a member at the Center for Security Policy.
This is an outfit that was founded by a family of crackpots who believe there
is a mythical Muslim creature out there – perhaps a shape shifter – waiting in
the wings for the right moment to strike at Christianity and finish it off.
Apparently, the patriarch of this belief – now a movement –
was a Catholic who thought he was persecuted by the Protestants. He started to
formulate conspiracy theories about the Protestants trying to finish off the
Catholics the way they used to do it in previous centuries. But when he saw
that this approach will not get him anywhere, he modified the theory by
discarding the Protestants and implicating the Muslims instead. This made the
Jews his natural allies, and so he began to sing from their song sheet.
The Center began to recruit like-minded people from all
persuasions who nevertheless adhere to the common belief that a Muslim threat
exists out there whose goal is to finish off Christianity, Judaism, America and
Israel ... and then take over the world. One of those recruits is Fred Fleitz
whose writings reflect that predilection. The latest product to come out of his
keyboard is titled: “The Enormous Fraud of the Iran Deal Is Catching Up with
Obama,” published on April 7, 2016 in National Review Online.
Aside from the fact that there is nothing new in this piece
of work, a few things can be pointed out about it. (1) It paints the Obama
Administration as a nest of conspirators in cahoots with the mythical Muslim
being that's trying to destroy America. (2) It seeks to create fear in the
hearts of the public – not only in the sense that they are being betrayed by
foreign and domestic conspirators, but that they will sooner or later be bombed
into oblivion. (3) Fleitz is inciting the Congress, now investigating a number of matters, to dismantle what Barack Obama has wrought, and pave the way for a new
paradigm to emerge.
First – the author implies that the Obama-Iran conspiracy
has worked so well “it is too late to reverse the administration's policy of
offering concessions [to Iran] – including $100 billion in sanctions relief.”
This happened, he says, because the negotiations that produced the Joint
Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA) “were an endless series of fallacies and
deceptions.” But take heart, he goes on to say because “Obama officials made
several misleading statements about JCPOA that have come back to haunt them”.
That does not mean we should all relax, says Fred Fleitz.
This is because there is no language barring missile tests in the JCPOA. What
there is, he adds, are U.N. and U.S. missile sanctions. The trouble is that
these too have not remained in place despite what Obama officials are saying.
He explains that Security Council Resolution 2231 lifted those sanctions and
replaced them with weaker language calling on Iran not to test missiles. And
this, says Fleitz, is a formulation that cannot be enforced under Chapter
Seven, which deals with sanctions and the use of military force.
Second – that being the case, Iran is now free to continue
developing missiles that can carry nuclear weapons, says the author. The Muslim
country will also be allowed to develop the weapons in question in a few years
time under the provisions of the JCPOA, he goes on to say. And look what Iran
has done, he complains; it has tested missiles on whose side were written the
words “Israel must be wiped off the earth”.
But that last assertion is a lie, my friend. The fact is
that the Iranians did not write “off the earth.” They wrote “off history.” And
there is a difference between the two. 'Off the earth' would have meant bomb
Israel out of existence. 'Off history' refers to the fact that the history of
Palestine is now written through Jewish eyes.
But because the current demographic situation cannot be
maintained for long, the day is fast approaching when the Palestinians will be
a majority in their own country again. And they will write their history
through their own eyes, supplanting the Jewish history that's forced on them
against their will.
Third – To make sure that the Iranians will not be around to
see that day when it comes, Fred Fleitz wants to manufacture a situation under
which the paradigm will change, and Chapter Seven will be invoked. America will
then be in a position to bomb Iran into the Stone Age.
This can only happen, he says, if the Congress nullifies the
JCPOA,
a move that will force the Iranians to develop the means to defend themselves.
That's when Fleitz and people like him will start urging America to engage not
only Iran but all of Islam, and wipe them off history as well as off the earth.
