Human Rights Watch caught them backstabbing their benefactors

Clifford D. May is hopping mad at Human Rights Watch (HRW) because for once, the outfit had the courage and integrity to tell the truth: It said that Israel is an apartheid state. This prompted Clifford May to say that HRW crossed the line and has entered the domain of antisemitism.

He wrote a column into which he unloaded what HRW stacked up on his chest. The column came under the title: “Human Rights Watch crosses the line with latest attack on Israel,” and the subtitle: “Organization goes beyond anti-Semitism.” The column was published on May 4, 2021 in The Washington Times.

Clifford May revealed that HRW issued a long report, “A Threshold Crossed” in which it says it found evidence that Israel is maintaining a system of apartheid, which it characterizes as crimes against humanity, and calls for action aimed at forcing Israel to abandon the practice. Instead of picking the thread from here, and articulating a vigorous defense of the Israeli system — which he should be able to do as a lawyer — Clifford May chose instead to invoke the deceptive chain of links that led him to conclude HRW is advocating the Final Solution that will be truly final. This killed the possibility of having a rational debate on the subject, and allowed Clifford May to turn on the spigot of lies without the fear of facing a pushback. Here is how he did it:

“HRW has arrogated to itself the authority to act as prosecutor, judge and jury. They will leave to others the task of acting as executioners. That’s not hyperbolic. Apartheid regimes are illegitimate. Illegitimate regimes should be abolished. HRW is therefore providing justification for those whose goal is the abolition of [Israel]”.

As to the lies, Clifford May is smart enough not to tell an obvious lie for which he could be nailed. What he did instead, is employ the Jewish method of lying. That is, Clifford May spoke this time — the way he always does — about one thing while letting the audience believe he is speaking about another thing. Here is how he handled the subject on this occasion. First, he mentioned that the HRW report accused Israel of practicing apartheid. He denied the accusation and responded as follows:

“Israeli citizens who identify as Palestinians or Israeli Arabs vote, run for office, hold seats in the Israeli parliament, serve as judges including on Israel’s Supreme Court, work as doctors in (not segregated) hospitals, attend (not segregated) universities, eat in (not segregated) restaurants and relax on (not segregated) beaches … To call that apartheid requires twisting the meaning of the word beyond recognition”.

That’s fine and dandy but it is not what HRW is talking about. The report contains a long chapter under the title: “Applications to Israel’s Policies towards the Palestinians.” To read it is to read one horror story after another. The report is on the internet, and anyone can access it. Meanwhile, here is a medley of excerpts that pertain to the political and human rights the Palestinians are deprived of:

“A stated aim of the Israeli government is to ensure that Jewish Israelis maintain domination across Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT.) To sustain Jewish control, Israeli authorities have adopted policies aimed at mitigating what they described as a demographic ‘threat’ that Palestinians pose. Those policies include limiting the population and political power of Palestinians, granting the right to vote only to Palestinians who live within the borders of Israel as they existed from 1948 to June 1967, and limiting the ability of Palestinians to move to Israel from the OPT and from anywhere else to Israel or the OPT”.

And here is a medley of excerpts that pertain to the dignified living conditions that the Palestinians are deprived of on a daily basis under military occupation:

“While Palestinians in Israel, unlike those in the OPT, have the right to vote and stand for Israeli elections, these rights do not empower them to overcome the institutional discrimination they face from the same Israeli government, including widespread restrictions on accessing land confiscated from them, home demolitions, and effective prohibitions on family reunification”.

To be given an enclave out of pity so that they can have a home to call their own, but then see them treat the people — whose homes and properties they robbed — with such criminal abandon, might explain why Clifford May said the following near the end of the column:

“States throughout the broader Middle East proudly proclaim themselves Arab and/or Muslim. It is only Jewish identity and self-determination that HRW deems a crime against humanity”.

This happens to be the trick that the Israeli negotiators at the fake “peace talks” have been trying to pull on the Palestinians and the Americans. Whereas the Palestinians told the Jews they can call Israel Jewish if they want, no Palestinian will agree to officially call Israel Jewish because to do so would give the Jews the legal right to expel every non-Jew out of Israel.

Given that the Palestinians and the Americans were smart enough to avoid falling into the Israeli trap once before, Clifford May appears readying himself to play the game yet again, attempting this time to have HRW change its mind.

It is that the people who stab their benefactors in the back once or twice, will not hesitate to stab them four or five more times. Their maxim is that if they can’t have a forever war, they’ll seek having a forever orgy of backstabbing.

And the American Congress loves it because it thinks of it as a divine game.
