He is telling us what we knew all along

The conflict is no more “over” than history has “ended,” especially when you take into consideration the way that Daniel Pipes has defined the word “conflict”.

Daniel Pipes calls “conflict” the relationship that used to exist between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel at a time when everyone that wrote about the steps taken to reconcile with Israel, has made clear there never was confrontation, armed or otherwise, between the two jurisdictions. All there was, is something that happens regularly between nations when they disprove of each other's conduct. That is, they withhold recognition of the other till the latter changes behavior. But this was never called a conflict.

As to the end of history, it was an idea posited by Francis Fukuyama who was so exhilarated to see the fall of the Soviet Union, he hastily wrote a book under the title: “The End of History and the Last Man,” and had it published in the year 1992. The idea was never taken seriously by anyone.

But Daniel Pipes still insists that there was a conflict, that it ended and that Israel has won. This stance leads him to take issue with Hanan Ahrawi who affirmed that the struggle of the Palestinian people has not ended and that it will continue for as long as the occupation of their country is maintained. Thus, you can see that whereas Ashrawi is talking about the reality on the ground of a universe in which we all live, Daniel Pipes is talking about a universe of his imagination in which the whole world was conspiring to destroy Israel but that Israel fought back and won the “conflict”.

Look now what Pipes did while not realizing the implications of what he is blabbering. If it is true that there was a serious conflict, that Israel won it and that Ashrawy was Pipes's enemy, it makes no sense for gloomy Gus, Daniel Pipes to celebrate his victory by calling Hanan Ashrawi sourpuss. And yet, that's what he called her, which causes us to believe that his public interpretation of what happened is in conflict with what he believes deep down in his gut. But what can that be? To find out, we contrast what Ashrawi has actually said against the way that he interpreted what she said. Here is how that goes:

As quoted by Daniel Pipes himself, here is what Hanan Ashrawi has said: “The Palestinians are willing, generation after generation, to continue their struggle.” And here is how Daniel Pipes has interpreted what she said: “No matter what anyone else does, we Palestinians will battle unto the end of time to eliminate the Jewish state and subjugate the Jews”.

What to make of that? There is only one thing to make of it. Here it is: No one but a Jew would come up with an interpretation such as that because no one remembers “his people” going through centuries of longing for: “Next year in Jerusalem,” and then achieving that dream against all odds. Deep down in his gut, Daniel Pipes truly believes that the Palestinians have a cause that's at least as just as that of the Jews, if not more. And that they have a good chance at prevailing in the end, however long that will take.

To think of it that way must be terrifying for him, but it also says something profound to the rest of humanity. To know what that is, I ask you to concentrate on the following words which he uttered: “Palestinians will battle to eliminate the Jewish state and subjugate the Jews.” Given that in his subconscious mind, he sees that the Palestinian struggle is a repeat of the Jewish struggle, the fact that he sees it end with the elimination of a state and the subjugation of a people, means that he considers the current situation as one in which the Palestinian state is in the process of being eliminated by the Jews, and the Palestinian people are being subjugated by them.

In fact, when you come down to it, this has been the aim of most Jews in Israel, of the settlers in the West Bank –– most of whom are American rejects –– and of their backers in the American domain of moral prostitution, all of them masquerading as federal or state politicians, pundits of every stripe or zipper-down Evangelical authorities.

But if the Jews have not yet succeeded in eliminating all vestiges of the Palestinian state, nor have they fully subjugated the Palestinian people, what does Daniel Pipes propose the Israelis do? Well, speaking of the insight which he says the Israelis have gained over the decades, here is what he wants them to do:

“The insight needs to be translated into a new strategy. But which? Victory is achieved by crushing the Palestinians; by an Israeli victory based on an indomitable Israeli will. Fortunately for Israel, the Palestinians lack muscle but rely on international support. While naïfs seek more agreements, we call for Israel to win. We understand that only defeat will convince Palestinians like Mrs. Ashrawi that the conflict is over, that Israel has prevailed”.

What Daniel Pipes is calling for, in effect, is a final battle between the unarmed and weakened Palestinians and the strong, armed to the teeth Israelis. He wants to see the Palestinians crushed to such a point, there will not be enough of them to multiply and repeat the history of Jewish survival through time.

But you know what, my friend? Daniel Pipes is not saying something new. We've known this to be the Jewish scheme for many years, as they were using America like an obedient politico-diplomatic beast of burden to do the dirty work for them while they were “innocently” partying and having a good time with the money that America was giving them to thank them for the privilege of using it as their favorite beast.
