Let us establish a couple of realities about which we can all agree.
First, there is the fact that
unless the Jews get 100% and then some, of what there is to be had, they'll
complain and ask for more. This makes it so that they will not approve of
someone unless he or she proves to be a total prostitute in the mold of Marco
Rubio, a dedicated bimbo in the mold of Lindsey Graham or a diehard whore in
the mold of Ted Cruz.
Second, when the Jews do
something naughty or see something that pleases them in the political or legal
arenas, which would nevertheless be unacceptable to reasonable human beings,
the Jews will shamelessly come up with all sorts of arguments that violate
common sense, to describe what they did or what they see as being something it
is not. They'll play this game by offering nonsensical interpretations to what
is so clear, it speaks for itself and needs no interpretation.
Now, put these two realities
together, and add to them the fact that the Jews always insist that when it
comes to the affairs of the Middle East, they are the infallible experts
whereas everyone else is the undisputed ignoramus. Having done this, what do
you get? You get an article like the one that came under the title: “Reforms
Should Come Before New Funding for UNRWA,” and the subtitle: “The Biden
administration restores funding of texts that glorify violence.” It was written
by Elliott Abrams and published on the website of the Council on Foreign
Relations on April 8, 2021.
The way that Abrams composed
the article, is that he cited what appears to be facts. He mixed that with his
own opinions or the opinions of others who would clearly be sympathetic to the
Jewish causes or hostile to the Palestinian causes or both. The most notorious
of these is IMPACT-se, a Jerusalem based outfit that calls itself an institute.
Despite the fact that it is a political beast from head to toe, it gave itself
the task of “Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education”.
The first set of facts cited
by Abrams is that which came in the statement issued by the State Department
about resuming the aid to UNRWA. Here is a condensed version of that:
“The US is resuming support to
UNRWA's services, including education for over 500,000 Palestinian boys and
girls, thereby providing hope and stability in UNRWA's fields of operation.
Funding also provides COVID-19 and food assistance to families severely
impacted by the epidemic. The US is deeply committed to ensuring that our
partnership with UNRWA promotes neutrality, accountability and transparency”.
Promoting neutrality,
accountability and transparency makes sense given that America participates in
funding a program it wants to see succeed in the short and long runs. In addition,
we must not lose sight of the fact that America also funds Israel with amounts
that exceed by 25 times those it gives to UNRWA. But why do we need to recall
this fact? We need to recall it for two reasons.
One reason is that there would
not be a need for UNRWA were it not for the fact that American money and
weapons allow Israel to trample on the UN resolutions that call for ending the
occupation of Palestine and the return of the Palestinian refugees to their
homes. The other reason is that while America promotes neutrality,
accountability and transparency when it comes to Palestinian affairs, it gets
kicked in the teeth each time it reminds Israel who is keeping it afloat
financially, militarily and diplomatically.
In fact, moments after an American
official mentions America's aid to Israel, an Israeli would go public and
mumbles defiantly words that basically tell America to shut up because the
Israelis will do what they believe is in their interest, regardless of what
America thinks, says or does … and then America does nothing.
So then, what did Elliott
Abrams do to convince his readers that America did the wrong thing when it
decided to resume funding an UNRWA that spends the money on educating children
and feeding families impacted by COVID-19? What Abrams did is quote from a
report issued by the Israeli IMPACT-se, the outfit that wants to tell the
Americans to quietly do whatever they think they must do, otherwise shut up and
never again mention the need to educate Palestinian children or feed
Palestinian families stressed by COVID-19. The following is a passage in the
IMPACT-se report that was quoted by Elliott Abrams. See if you can make sense
of it:
“UNRWA, as a UN organization,
knowingly teaches material that is inconsistent with UN values … while most of
the problematic material is also found in a not-insignificant number of
instances, we found the introduction of UNRWA-produced problematic content.
UNRWA-produced material frequently references, and sometimes reproduces, texts
and phrases from the Palestinian Authority textbooks that glorify sacrificing
one's life and blood to defend the motherland”.
And this is the excuse that
Elliott Abrams is using to tell the Biden administration it should double what
it gives to Israel and cut off what it gives to UNRWA until the latter teaches
the children of Palestine to grow up and become Rubios and Grahams and Cruzes.
And why not? Are the Palestinian kids better than the American kids who are at this moment taught all they can absorb about worshiping the Jews so as not to ever again do a holocaust?
