There he is again, the one who makes the snake oil salesman look like a saint with a halo hovering over his head. He is the one and only Michael Rubin who would buy the golden watch off your wrist, and make you pay him for buying it, even if you never intended to sell your watch.
Michael Rubin is a unique operator among the mob of Jewish pundits
in America. He has developed a talent for making America sacrifice its own
interests to serve those of Israel, without ever mentioning Israel. In this
sense, he operates in America as an extension of the Israeli negotiating team
that convinced the Palestinian government to protect Israel from Israel's
attacks on the Palestinians. Figure that one out, my friend; I tried long and
hard to understand it but got tired trying, and so I gave up.
So now, you see Michael Rubin run to the front of the line to
advise the newly elected president, Joe Biden on how to negotiate with the Iranians
while making them feel like they are serving Iran when in reality, they will be
serving Israel by opposing China. In turn, this will make it look like the
Iranians are serving America's interests when the beneficiary in this potpourri
of deceptions will only be Israel. If this makes you feel like you've been
caught in a spider's web of absurd propositions, you're on your way to
understanding why no country in the world has succeeded to negotiate an
agreement with Donald Trump's team of Jewish advisers.
And this is the kind of despair you'll feel when you read the
article that Michael Rubin wrote under the title: “Joe Biden May Provide
Windfall for Iran and China's Newest Port Project,” and the subtitle:
“Traditionally, when the United States seeks to engage with Iran, diplomats
propose cooperating on areas of mutual interest.” It was published on November
4, 2020 in The National Interest.
From the title and subtitle of Rubin's article, you can already
see how he is preparing to ambush Joe Biden. Without saying it openly, he warns
that if Biden keeps his campaign promise to reenter the Iran nuclear deal,
he'll break with tradition, which has been to cooperate only on areas of mutual
interest. And the text makes it clear that Michael Rubin believes the Iran
nuclear deal is not in America's interest. And you'll understand that “not in
America’s interest,” means not in Israel’s interest.
And so, whereas it is clear that Michael Rubin is advising Joe
Biden not to talk to Iran about Donald Trump's initiative with regard to the
nuclear deal, he advises Biden to discuss China's Belt and Road Initiative
(BRI) as it relates to Iran. And so, the pertinent questions to ask are these:
How is BRI important to Israel? And how does Rubin make it sound like it is
important to America? The way to find out is to look for clues in the article,
be they overt clues or subtle ones. Here they are, expressed in a condensed
form:
“Joe Biden has committed to rejoin the Iran nuclear deal should he
win the presidency. The question as a Biden administration moves from theory
into reality would therefore be whether common ground exists to expand
negotiations. In the past, this meant proposals to assist Iran with its war on
drugs. This is one area where increased US-Iranian cooperation makes sense for
both countries. Proponents of engagement urge cooperation on common ground in
Afghanistan. This has been easier said than done. Europeans and India have
urged the US to allow trans-shipment of goods through Iran's Chahbahar Port.
India has committed $500 million to the Port. Pompeo has exempted Indian
projects in Chahbahar Port from US sanctions. Biden's team may see opportunity
in Iranian attempts to utilize Chahbahar Port. China's presence in the port is
a problem. Over the past decade, Chinese investment has increased tremendously.
China has financed the first phase of the Port's new airport. Chinese
investment continues in Chahbahar despite US sanctions. It would be unfortunate
if Biden and team bolstered China's interests and positions in the Indian
Ocean”.
You can see from this passage that Michael Rubin is recommending
that Joe Biden talk to Iran about the war on drugs but not the Chahbahar Port,
the nuclear deal or the situation in Afghanistan. This is like the Israelis who
seriously negotiate with the Palestinians only matters that pertain to the
protection of Israel, while brushing aside anything that might address
Palestinian concerns.
But what is Israel's interest in the Chahbahar Port? That port is
part of China's Belt and Road Initiative. Israel too wants to be part of that
Initiative. In fact, China has started work on a rail line that will connect
Israel's Port of Eilat on the Red Sea with the port of Ashdod on the
Mediterranean. If this were the only burgeoning relations between China and
Israel, America would most likely tolerate it. But China's interests are going
deeper into Israel's other installations at a time when every piece of American
military secret is stored in Israel. And the Americans are worried that all
this will fall into the hands of the Chinese.
In fact, America is already pressuring Israel to curtail its
dealings with China. This will drastically reduce the importance of the Red-Med
rail project at a time when Iran's Chahbahar Port is blossoming at a rapid rate.
And the last thing that the Israelis want to see, is an America that has closer
relations with Iran than those it has with Israel.
Which is why Michael Rubin wants Joe Biden to believe that getting involved in the Chahbahar Port will provide not just Iran with a windfall, but also China whose military in the Red Sea will be bolstered.
