An observation of the global landscape will confirm that antisemitism is manifesting itself just about everywhere on the planet.
This being a phenomenon that started simultaneously with
the rise of the Jewish culture—known as Judaism—thousands of years ago, we must
deduce that the culture contains the ingredients which foster antisemitism.
There is no conclusive historical evidence as to what happened precisely that
long ago to tie the rise of antisemitism with the Judaic culture, but the
Jewish folklore – that has acquired the strength of a religion – gives ample
clues as to what must have happened.
Whether it is an account of historical events or a
religion, what the Jews recite as being the set of their core beliefs, is where
we must begin the search for what ties the Jewish character to the human aversion
to it: that which we call antisemitism. We find those core beliefs in a book
known as the Old Testament, also referred to as the Jewish Bible.
The Old Testament says that nomadic tribes roaming the
desert of the Middle East, ended up in Egypt where they sojourned for the
duration of 400 years. Tired of being treated like ordinary citizens, there
arose among them a towering figure who came to be known as Moses. He told the
tribes that God appeared to him and said He chose them to be His favorite
children; henceforth named Jews.
God also promised them an empire of their own, said
Moses, where they will not be ordinary citizens but something more elevated.
This will happen because the land to which they will go is full of milk and
honey that will feed them without them having to work anymore than did the
pharaohs of Egypt. In time, they will all become pharaohs to the world and come
to own the planet with everything it contains.
And ever since that time, that history has been drummed
into Jewish children, making them characters that repulse the rest of humanity
as they grow up and display cultural traits which ordinary human beings
consider obnoxious.
When the Europeans of Greece and Rome had absorbed enough
knowledge from the civilized worlds of the Middle East and the Orient, they
armed themselves and went on the conquest of those worlds. They caused so much
disruption that the Jews in those worlds were motivated to migrate to Europe
where they thought that God had wanted them to be in preparation for the time
when they will be handed the ownership deeds to the planet.
Alas, this did not happen. What happened instead was that
the Europeans were just as repulsed by the Jewish character as were the people
that the Jews left behind. But instead of seeing this development for what it
was, the Jews attributed the European rejection of them to their physical
appearance, such as the darker skin, hooked nose, smaller build and what have
you. And so, the Jews embarked on a massive multi-generational program to
change their looks. They adopted or kidnapped European children which they
raised as Jews in the ghettoes of Europe and married them. The Jews also
employed all kinds of tricks to attract Jewish girls, have them marry Jewish
boys and produce lots of hybrid children.
Several generations later, the Jews discovered that the
tricks to make themselves look Europeans had come to naught. In fact, at no
time during their sojourn in Europe were the Jews treated as respected
citizens. Their history has been that of rejection, mistreatment, expulsion,
pogroms, murder and the Holocaust. As to the tricks they employed to look
European, it backfired when they appeared to have succeed so well, they were
forced to wear a yellow Star of David so that the Gentiles would know who they
are and avoid interacting with them.
That reality delivered to the Jews the shocking message
that they are not considered obnoxious because of the way they look. They are
considered obnoxious because of the way they think of themselves and the way
they treat the rest of humanity.
And this should tell our political leaders that the way
to end antisemitism, is not to take new instructions from the Jews, a habit
that helped increase the perceived degree of their obnoxiousness, but to erase
every law that was enacted in the past to privilege them. When this is
completed, they and every human being will know that the specter of a false
affiliation tying the Jews to God, has been removed.
