Jonathan Tobin's Fall into Alice's Rabbit Hole

It is easy to see and appreciate the enormous differences separating the airplanes that were used at the dawn of air travel, and the advanced airplanes we use today.

When it comes to the changes in cultural attitudes, however, it is not as easy to spot the differences that have taken place between the way we used to describe and treat certain issues, and the way we do today. But it is important to be aware of those changes.

A good example to study in this regard came under the title: Iran's Attempts To Start Talks Reveal Trump's Strategy Is Working,” and the subtitle: “Tehran's provocations feed a war scare, masking the realization that Iran has no choice but to eventually negotiate on America's terms.” It was written by Jonathan S. Tobin and published on July 30, 2019 in The Federalist.

The issue here is a scenario that might unfold as follows: You use the leverage you think you have over your opponent and try to force him to come to the table and negotiate on your terms. But it turns out that the opponent is tougher than you thought. You commit more of your resources to bring him to his knees but to no avail. In fact, you begin to feel that you're exhausting yourself so much and depleting your resources so fast, you'll be the one on your knees crying uncle. What do you do?

You declare victory and abandon the ill-advised venture in which you embarked. Well, not so fast. You might do that if the adventure was your idea, and the expected benefits were to be yours. But if you've been acting on instructions from what turns out to be an accomplished con artist, things will be handled differently. That's because the artist will continue trying to persuade you to remain in the fight. He'll explain that the losses you're incurring are winnings in disguise and that your opponent is on his knees, even if you see him turn everything he touches into gold like an accomplished magician.

This is the story of the Jews advising Donald Trump to commit America's military and financial muscles to go after the cultural juggernaut that is Iran. It is not that Iran did something wrong but that the Jews make it sound like America and the world's major powers did something wrong by negotiating a civilized nuclear deal with the Iranians. The Jews who wish to destroy the Middle East to inherit its spoils, wanted Trump to resume the fight-to-the-death with Iran. They took advantage of his inexperience and conned him into an adventure he could not win.

Now that Donald Trump is beginning to realize he made a mistake, the Jews have engaged the master of con artistry, Jonathan S. Tobin, to tell him what to do next. Tobin is not telling Trump what to do, now that he realized he lost the battle; he is telling Trump what to do, now that he is winning the battle. To convince him that he is winning, Tobin is citing as proof, the fact that Trump appears to be losing. Do you see now what Alice's rabbit whole does to the intelligence of those who drop into it? They get to raise their IQ from the level of a human to that of a rat. Bewildered? Look at the story that Tobin is telling his readers, and you'll understand how upside-down logic works:

“The important story involving Iran is happening in plain sight without getting much attention. While Tehran flexes its muscles, it has also been sending signals of a different character. Recent meetings between Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and Sen. Rand Paul, are signs that Tehran is looking for a way out of the current impasse. Far from demonstrating confidence that Iran can intimidate the Trump administration, this proves that the opposite is true”.

Never mind that Donald Trump admitted publicly it was he who made repeated overtures to the Iranians about meeting them the way that he does with the North Koreans –– but that the Iranians never seemed enthusiastic about holding such meetings. If you look for a meaning in Javad Zarif finally accepting to meet with Trump's envoy Rand Paul, it can only be that the Iranians have sensed that Donald Trump is looking for a way out of the impasse where the Jews have pushed him. For Tobin to tell the story in reverse and make it sound that Trump has intimidated the Iranians, is for Tobin to show the world what tricks the new upside-down logic has brought to the culture. Instead of declaring victory and getting out, the way it was done in the old days, the modern con artists tell the narrative in reverse.

To get a sense of the consequences of the Americans falling into the Jewish rabbit's hole, look at the respect that the Americans used to get everywhere they went around the world, and look at them now disguising themselves as Canadians to make sure they will be served with respect wherever they go around the world.

As to the determination on whose terms the negotiations between Iran and America will be held, look at the way that the North Korean story is unfolding, and you'll see a disquieting pattern.
