Logic incubated in the Cesspool of Absurdity

There is an old saying, and there is one that's closely related to it. The old one goes like this: “When God intends to destroy someone, he first renders them mad.” The one that's closely related exists in the form of a question and an answer. It goes like this: “When do you know that a habitual thief is about to do himself in? When he starts to justify his robberies on the ground that his victims do not deserve what they have”.

This is the image that best reflects where the Jewish-Israeli lobby stands at this point in time. Its operators had all kinds of excuses justifying the Jewish habit of living off the avails of robbery. They fashioned an excuse to suit each epoch, and the one they have for the modern era began with the claim that the Jews have the right to steal Palestinian properties because Jewish violinists from Eastern Europe made the desert bloom by sticking their golden fingers into the desert sand. This made the trees grow, they claim, which is why the Negev Desert is blooming with green trees but appears golden yellow to the lens of Google Earth.

When the people of the world got tired of that hokum, the Jewish lobbyists found another excuse why Israel should be praised (but is not) for killing Palestinians and stealing their properties. They admit that in Israel, they import losers from around the world and ask them if they wish to rob the Christians and Muslims of Palestine. When the losers vote yes, which they do each time, the lobbyists say that Israel has democratically voted yes to thievery, and this makes the practice Jewish legitimate.

But then, there remains the reality that Israel still occupies the Western part of the Syrian Golan Heights, having been booted out of every other place it tried to steal outside of Palestine's West Bank. And so, the Jews needed to tailor-make an excuse that would justify keeping the Golan. You'll find that excuse in an article which came under the title: “The United Nations General Assembly [GA], the Golan, and Theater of the Absurd,” written by Elliott Abrams and published on December 3, 2016 on the website of the Council on Foreign relations.

Elliott Abrams, whose infamous logic would nauseate a platoon of angels and one of devils, begins the article by complaining that: “The UN commemorated once again 'International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people' and passed six anti-Israel resolutions.” He goes on to describe the resolutions as “ranging from the despicable to the absurd,” and adds that they have nothing to do with reality. He then selects one of the resolutions and discusses it in detail.

It is the one entitled “The Syrian Golan,” he says. He does not like many things about it – ranging from those who sponsored it, to what the resolution demands, to its intended beneficiary. He mocks the descriptive names that were given to two of the sponsors: the Plurinational State of Bolivia, and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. And he demeans a number of other sponsors by calling them: a bunch of Arab states.

The intended beneficiary of the resolution is Syria, and the following – in brief – is what it says: “The GA determines that the occupation of the Syrian Golan constitutes a stumbling block in the way of achieving peace in the region … the GA demands that Israel withdraw from the Syrian Golan in implementation of the relevant Security Council resolutions”.

And this is where Abrams – in the name of all the self-appointed leaders of the Jews – does himself in, inflicting irreparable damage to his cause … whatever it may be. That is, he sets himself up as the iconic Jewish leader whom current and aspiring leaders should try to emulate. He does that by foretelling a future that in reality is nothing more than the description of his daytime fantasy.

He begins the argument by asking a question: “What would happen were Israel to withdraw from the Golan?” He answers with a series of other questions meant to represent his responses. His ultimate point is that ISIS will try to overrun and slaughter the Druze, and that the Iranian-backed militias would take parts of the Golan. He also says that Assad's Iranian-backed army or the forces of Hezbollah will try to seize it. And he predicts that if this were to happen, dire consequences will follow for the people who live in the Golan, Northern Israel and Jordan.

He does not say how he came to know what will happen in the future, but assails the General Assembly because it cannot see that Israel did the right thing stealing the Golan from the Syrians who did not deserve having it in the first place.
